Artwork
When I was a painter in art school, pop-art caught my eyes the most. I was influenced by pop artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, and Jeff Koon, fascinated by the idea of fusing high art and low art together, and the use of bright and flat colours that is nothing but trying to get my attention.

Comic Series #1
This project consists of a total of 30+ canvases. Everything is painted with acrylic. The white speech bubbles are painted on plywood. This work is based on my fascination of how dynnamic comic panels can be in relation to canvas being seen as objects when put together. The photograph only captures 1/3 of the project, and I have the complete work on slides.

Comic Series #2
All three canvases are approx 6ft x 2ft. Everything is painted with acrylic. The characters are painted on an MDF ranger board and coated with epoxy resin. This work is my further exploration of my last series, by starting to experiemnt with the formal elements in painting, such as mediums, materials, surfaces etc.

Test Tube Babies
I was experimenting with glow sticks and installation so I ended up with a piece like this. I builded a test tube holder that was installed horizontally
across the room. On the individual test tube, an outline of a baby was drawn. Comments such as "short-lived" and "against nature" were made, but I have
no intention of making a statement out of this project, as I know someone who once had IVF by choice in exchange for a fulfilling family.

Surface Area
This project consists of a total of 50 canvases. Everything is painted with acrylic. Some canvases are coated with epoxy resin. This work is attempting to gravitate towards minimalism from graphical representation, which is a dominant style in my previous work. Traditionally, the content is painted on the canvas and stopped on the edges. To me, the canvases have become the content and their stories can be extended to the edges and onto other canvases.

Lightbox #1
This piece consists of two lightboxes. One has a red lightbulb and the other has a blue lightbulb. When the lightboxes are placed facing each other, you can see the colour purple in the gap.

Lightbox #2
I have 4 of these lightboxes built. Each has a mini fluorescent light built in and the box is sealed with a blue plexi-glas. The mini wheels are added on just for fun.
